Overview
C-PACE is an innovative tool that enables commercial property owners to obtain up to 100% long-term, fixed-rate financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, resiliency, water use and electric vehicle charging building improvements. Property owners may obtain financing from private capital providers for eligible improvements such as HVAC, lighting and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and other improvements in both existing buildings and new construction projects. The term of a C-PACE financing may extend through the useful life of the improvement, which may be up to 20-30 years long, and can result in cost savings that exceed the amount of the C-PACE financing.
The Illinois Energy Conservation Authority NFP (IECA), an Illinois 501c3 nonprofit organization, has been at the forefront of developing Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) programs in Illinois (IECA PACE). IECA is the leading C-PACE program administrator for participating communities throughout Illinois. To learn about how you can participate in the IECA C-PACE program, click the icons below.
